Dobry Dobry

Joyful music for dancing, laughing and living.

We bring joy to every occasion!

Dobry Dobry is a modern jazz ensemble that merges together jazz manouche music with traditional folk songs from the balkans and eastern europe. Dobry Dobry creates delightful atmospheres with Yiddish, Russian, Ukrainian and Hebrew songs often performed in the stylings of 1920's and 1930's Jazz and Parisian Jazz Manouche. Clarinet, violin, viola, an accordion, and tapan drum easily move between dance-like horas to soulful doinas and lyrical folk songs. At every concert, Dobry Dobry delivers tight arrangements, room-filling sound, plenty of crowd call-and-response and traditional folk melodies with contemporary punch, crafted by road-tested players who care about feel, swing, and joy.Whether we are performing for Hebrew folk dancers, Yiddish sing-alongs or on stage in front of an audience, live concerts with Dobry Dobry strive to always include audience participation. Our biggest influences are Django Reinhardt, Bireli Lagrene, Louis Armstrong's Hot Five, The Klezmatics, Frank London, Balkan Beat Box and Gogol Bordello.
